Brookfield House Campus is special school that caters for students aged 2 to 19 with a wide range of complex needs.
The bespoke curriculum we offer, enable the students to have fun, to be challenged and to succeed. The staff work as part of a multidisciplinary team as the school has strong partnerships with a variety of services, such as health and medical services, therapies and art projects. Our students also have access to a wide range of learning opportunities in the local vicinity.
We understand that all behaviour is communication, and respond to it as such. We adopt a Total Communication attitude, using Alternative Augmentative Communication (AAC) strategies, Makaton, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Objects of Reference, among others. We recognise and work with pupil’s strengths and respect individual personalities and opinions.
All parents/carers will be encouraged to work actively and cooperatively with the school to ensure the needs of pupils are met.
As a school we are consistently improving. The energy and professionalism of the teaching and support staff is a major factor in the school’s accomplishments to date. We are very proud of our pupils and their great progress. We expect each student to achieve maximum independence and a great quality of life.
I hope this website allows you to glimpse the many outstanding learning opportunities that take place in our school.
With sincere best wishes,
