Visitors to the Ward
We are lucky enough to be able to work with a wide range of incredible people who offer support and entertainment to the children on the ward. Here is where we chronicle the work of these amazing visitors to the ward.
Starlight have provided some incredible entertainment on the ward, from pantomimes to fairy stories. The shows are always a lot of fun (Oh no they're not! Oh yes they are!).
In November 2016 the Starlight Players performed Dick Whittington in the Acorn Ward Playroom with just 4 actors! The certainly made enough noise for many, many more as did the children and staff enjoying the show!
A huge thank you to the amazing team who deliver these great opportunities to our young people.
Captain Calamity (http://www.madhousekids.com)
Captain Calamity is funded by the entertainment in hospitals charity POD (http://www.podchildrenscharity.com) to visit the ward once a month. His wacky tricks and fantastic balloon modelling always brings a smile to the childrens' faces.
Kazzum are an amazing creative arts charity who take residency on the ward once a year to create the most incredible sensory and imaginative art works.
E17 Puppet Project
E17 Puppet Project are another wonderful group who offer us a week long residency each year during which pupils are able to creatively explore a range of materials and ideas.
